Spring in the Mountains

Hanami (はなみ　花見) is the Japanese tradition of flower viewing, usually in the spring with sakura (cherry blossoms, さくら　桜).

Because the school and work year revolves around this time period, most companies have welcoming parties and take in the sights of spring.

Here are some of my shots of sakura at our hanami this year - thankfully, the wind held off for a few days, so we got to see the peak blooms on the trees!
