Well, if you haven't heard about it yet, there is a dA Artisan Crafts Silent Auction, with the donations going to fun The Weekend to End Breast Cancer.
This is the 6th year that $Moonbeam13 will be participating in this 60k walkathon, along with her boyfriend and mother. The three of them each need to raise $2,000 in order to qualify, and the Artisan Crafts gallery decided to try to do something to help out!
So, here is my submission for it - I'm sorry it's not more lavish, but I hope you all like it none the less. This bag is made from 100% cotton fabrics, and is fully lined. The outer fabric is pink sparklie cotton, and the lining is a pink-blue-and-green plaid like with pink ribbons printed on it.
It is roughly 6" deep and 8" wide.
Starting bid is $5.
As a bonus, if this sells, I'll post a tutorial on how to make one. Because, seriously, if someone out there can't spare $5 for something, then why should I bother spending hours of my time putting together the tutorial? Not to be greedy, but seriously. I could be working on commissions and making money, but instead, I do tutorials for you all, so some sort of charitable giving back would be nice once in a while!
Bidding on this begins on July 21 and go through August 17. Bidders can note $Moonbeam13 with the subject of "Auction Bid", and include a link to the item for auction they'd like to bid on, and your bid amount. She'll announce the winners on August 17th, and then you'll send the money to her PayPal account, and she'll give us the okay to send out the item, along with where to send it.
You will need to have access to PayPal in order to pay!
Every positive stride towards defeating breast cancer affects everyone, whether one has it or knows someone who has it. This Auction/Contest is one way for everyone on dA to get involved and join in with Danie to help prevent and eliminate this disease. I have already kicked off the Auction by submitting some donations of my own to the Auction/Contest gallery, so please join in with me and add one or more of your own to the "Artisan Crafts Silent Auction" Community Project! You can see the entries here --> [link]
It's definitely worth it (although there are much better things up than this, I'm sad to say - I guess tomorrow I'm going to have to bust my butt to make something more creative )
Thank you! It's actually not an obnoxious pink, either, which is the only way I'd work with it

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Well, if someone bids on this one, I'll put up the tutorial for making them - it's pretty easy, but I have a couple of tricks in there
