Rainbow Hearts sewing apron

Finally! Pictures of my sewing/craft aprons I've been making, more for the hell of it than anything (everyone in my family should suspect them as Holiday gifts this year ^___^)

The main fabric is a 100% cotton rainbow heart print that I knew I had to do something with (unfortuantely, it's too big to use for corsets!). So... apron it is! This is with the new ties, too, made of wide grosgrain ribbon - looks so much better than the fabric ties IMO.

Anywho, the pockets are friggin' huge - I know I've always had a problem with having to keep all of my sewing tools on hand and easily accessible, with pockets large enough to hold *multiple* pairs of scissors, measuring tapes, writing utensils, chalk, a small note pad, hem gauge, sewing needles, thread, beeswax... you know what I mean!

The apron itself is 18"-20" long, and 18"-20" at the top, with a long band of grosgrain ribbon for the ties. The pockets are cut so that they're really huge, and are stitched on to be 7" wide by about 9" high, and tie closed with ribbon at the top. Leaving them tied up keeps everything inside from falling out, and what gives them the huge amount of space they have!

So... yeah!
