Obi-Obi Belt: Sakura Crest

Those of you who have put up with my crap on Twitter, Facebook, or my blog have already seen most of this stuff, but I want to submit it to DeviantART anyways, because I can!

<sub>Okay, that done with, I've been working on these for a few weeks, between emails, commissions, and more emails. This was an idea I had when I was working on the production of 'The Boy Friend' and actually forgot about until flipping through my sketchbook.

Plus, I needed to test my embroidery machine after getting it repaired, and test my ability to make the stupid patterns to begin with!

Apparently, not doing anything with embroidery for a year means that I can understand the program better, or something, because these all worked wonderfully, most on the first try!</sub>

They're "obi-obi" belts, because they're the "obi style" of belt (aka wide belt) and they're also styled after Japanese obi. The designs on them are based off of traditional Japanese crests.

_{They're made from really nice bridal-weight satin, interfaced, and lined with a corresponding cotton print. The design is embroidered directly onto them, too, and a few of them have kimono scraps appliqued into place. There are also two pieces of spiral steel boning to help keep it's shape when wearing it, so it always looks fabulous~}
