Well, more dresses that I was finally able to compile the pictures and upload! Hooray!

All right! This should be the last one for a few days (maybe…) until I can get more pictures of the rest of the dresses I've finished.

This is one of my personal favorite dresses, because it's so.. I can't quite put it into words. I do know that the actress who is wearing this hates it to no end (because, ya know, you can't see any curves or anything like that) but I dun care. That is, indeed, half of the fun of being a costume designer

It is a layer of sheer over a white lining. The fabric is just beautiful - it is one of the one's I saw originally that set the design-scheme in motion. I love the huge flowers, and, surprisingly, the colors! I usually don't care for orange, but with this… I make an exception.

The flowers are really pretty watercolor-like, and I think adding the bit of sparkle on the belt/head thing (not pictured, tho) helps. This character is the one who is trying to outshine the main character (as my director is setting it up) and always be the center of attention, so adding the shine to her only was a key to making her look flamboyant.

The fullness on the dress is just in the sides, which I think is really cool - it does look beautiful dancing around on stage!

The whole production is rather overwhelming, and I still have a lot of work to do, but I'm hoping to get a few more of the outfits I've finished uploaded here for you to see, and I'm going to find out today about photographing the show and putting it up, and seeing if there are any issues with that…
