Lines: Soirus + Ceinwyn

I have been fighting to get these characters down, at least in drawings, for quite some time now. I am so happy with how this turned out - even if it's not perfect on the proportions as I'm sure I would wish it would have been. I'm still very proud of this one!

These are the two main characters of a story I've been pouring my heart and soul into lately (which I should probably be working on now, instead of drawing ). The story is, as of yet, untitled, but I'm considering uploading it here as I get chapters revised - would anyone be interested in reading it?

Anyways, about the characters a bit.

The man on the left is Soirus, and the woman, Ceinwyn. This is the same woman as in this quick upload and color from a while ago:



My style has changed since that sketch - it seems like I have one style when it comes to traditional art, and another entirely when I do something completely digital (as this one was done).

Anyways, Lady Ceinwyn, Keeper of the Shardwall, is a Magi, trained to use magic against the evil creatures called Wraithen that wander the world, killing and destroying. Normally, she is in full on armor, because Magi do not have the luxury of being protected and able to stay in the background of a fray.

Soirus, on the other hand, is a spoiled, rich brat, with more to him than expected. He is last in a very long, honored line of basically evil people, but is not at all living up to his families reputation - oh, he's plain evil, alright, but not quite as malicious and bloodthirsty as he probably should be.

At this point in the story, a whole lot of shit has gone down, basically.

The reason for the horns and ears is another matter. As mages wind up pulling magic from the world around them, they begin to take on aspects of the world. This starts with their eyes glassing over, and eventually glowing, and continues down to other physical characteristics. They are only allowed to go so far, to hold so much magic, though, before being cut off by their Keepers, or being killed on the spot for going rogue. Anything beyond the ears and horns is dangerous territory - in fact, the horns are perhaps too far for most Magi to risk.

Every mages look is different from the other, and no two are alike.

Soirus is cloaked in black and purple mists and magic, while Ceinwyn manifests in light blue tones.

Feel free to color this if you so choose. You can keep those color notes in mind (purple and blue) or not, I really do not mind one way or another. Please do not alter the lineart (that includes removing my signature) over-much, credit me in your submission (allowed for use on DeviantART ONLY) and link me to your finished coloring, please!

Oh, and I totally intend on making Ceinwyn's jacket shortly. I already have the fabric picked out
