Inuyasha Fang Earrings by taeliac Inuyasha Fang Earrings by taeliac
A pair of earrings I made based off of Inuyasha's Fang Necklace. I had purchased some glass beads a few months ago for making the fang necklace, only to find out that they were too small (10mm) so they kinda just layed around. I got a sample of some new plastic that is moldable, so I figured I'd try making a fang or three. Since I didn't order any other beads for the necklace, and feeling the need to *make* something, I decided to make a pair of earrings.

You like? I can make more *shameless self plug*

1st jewelry attempt ^_^

Oh man.. .these were from ages ago ^^; I think I used a hot melt plastic thing... crap, I can't remember what it's called! Plasticlay? Plasticene? Something like that, where it's little pellets you melt in hot water, and then have like 3 minutes to shape them, and then you have to heat them more if you need more working time ~ the beads are just purchased random glass one's :D

:glomp: Thank you!

They're little pellets that you put in hot water, until they turn clear and become much like clay. You can work with them until they get too cold, but it's really easy to reshape them and stuff by just setting it back in warm water.

Here is a link to the place - Shapelock.com, I ordered a sample, and it seems to be enough to make at least one necklace ^___^ Or a couple pairs of earrings...

That's awesome - unless you forget to take off your earrings in the shower... ^^;

Actually, the water has to be super hot - 150 degrees, but not boiling, to melt the plastic...

... although I take those showers that usually leave me red and tingly because the water is so hot, so maybe for me it would be a bad idea...

LOL! Good! I'm not the only one :dance: They're really fun to wear, because they're just different from all my other jewelry. I think I'm going to make a bracelet (sp?) too...

:clap: Yay!! You did a great job!! I really like them. I'm not big on Inuyasha either. But hey...I watched an episode at like 3 am a few days ago and it wasn't half bad! Lol. Maybe cause I was half asleep.

Yeah, that's when they're okay. What irritates me is that the series goes on *forever* and (from the pieces I've seen recently) they're just using the same pretenses for the episodes now that they did a few years ago when I really liked the show >____<

How many kings/lords posessed by demons in a mask or a stone can you really have?!?! And it seems like the bad guys disappear for a very long time, then come back just out of nowhere, all suprised >__<; Go figure!

Lol!! I've never really been into it cause I always thought it was stoopid. Plus so many fan girls being into it scared me!

Yeah, I agree. Sesshoumaru is a hottie though - I'd love to make his outfit, just to see if I can embroider those flowers and everything ^___^ Oh, and the armor ^__^; That too ^_^

Thank you!! I don't really care for Inuyasha [awaiting murderous yelling from some people] but I've wanted to make something like these for a while ^__^ They're really comfy too, because the fangs are really light because I used plastic, not clay ^_____^

Yeah for trying new things, and yeah for you :glomp:

{sorry, a little spaztic today}
