So, some of you may know that I have a recent obsession with corsetry, considering I have an independent study coming up this semester, I figured I'd better start practicing so I don't look like a total idiot to my professor.

This is the underbust corset pattern from Laughing Moon, with some modifications to get the logo to fit on the front. Mainly, just reshaping it, but as you see, there is no busk in the front. That would have made the design to... odd... with the parts running through the middle of it. So, this corset is a little difficult to get on, but well worth it.

Two layers of cotton twill, mainly because I can't afford coutil for practice corsets. There is flat steel boning down the center front, and the back on either side of the grommets, and spring steel everywhere else. I believe that there are 22 pieces, but there may be 20, I can't remember

The logo on the front is done with machine embroidery - it took me forever to build the embroidery pattern for it, but I'm very happy that I did. I also scaled it down and put it on the back of the kimono (view this deviation for more information on the outfit underneath). I may start putting it on kitty hats, too, just because I like it so much.

I've wanted to make this since I had seen the first game coming out, and I finally felt confident enough in my skills to do it, and I'm so happy!

6 hours total, 1.5 of which was the damned red edging (need to figure another way of doing that in the future).
