Cemetery, Savannah, GA

More images from our trip down to Savannah, Georgia, in the Colonial Park Cemetery. Don't ask me why, but I absolutley love taking photo's in cemeteries, and expect to see more (at least, in stock) as I go hunt for our local one's and take pictures.

Anywho, this is probably my favorite cemetery shot. It is a little bad, in that there is that lens flare in the corner, but it couldn't be helped - we were on our last day down there, and I couldn't come back later to take it when the sun was higher.

This shows some of the broken headstones, being held together with plexiglass, and the large (I can only assume they're called) crypts or tombs behind them, made of red brick. These intrigued me more than anything, as I have never seen anything like that in a cemetery before - something like that must be very impractical as you get further north, with the cold causing them to heave and collapse... or so I guess.

And, of course, the trees! Huge trees, all covered in Spanish Moss, but as it was winter when we were down there, the moss is all gray, not the bright green you expect to see. It just adds to the eerie appeal.
